Rajasthan to introduce e-Pathshala for Classes 9–12 with live classes and digital resources

The Rajasthan education department is set to introduce e-Pathshala, a digital learning initiative aimed at providing additional academic support to students of Classes 9 to 12 beyond regular classroom teaching.

Under the programme, students will have access to live online classes, subject-wise digital notes, study material and doubt-clearing sessions. Information related to the daily online classes, PDF notes and summary sheets will be shared through the e-Pathshala WhatsApp channel as well as the SMILE WhatsApp groups used by schools.

The Mission Gyan app and WhatsApp channel will also host chapter-wise digital notes covering different subjects. The initiative is designed to support students with self-study at home and provide them with additional learning resources outside school hours.

Periodic live doubt-solving sessions will also form part of the programme. Students will be able to post subject-related questions through the comment section during these sessions, allowing teachers to address their queries.

Schools have been directed to encourage students to participate in the evening live classes and make regular use of the digital resources. Teachers and school staff have also been asked to inform students about the initiative during morning assemblies.

The digital platform is also expected to support schools when a particular subject teacher is unavailable. In cases where a teacher is on leave or a teaching position remains vacant, recorded lessons can be used through ICT labs or Smart Class facilities to ensure that learning continues.

According to the education department, the initiative is being implemented with the broader objective of strengthening learning support for government-school students and contributing to improvements in their examination performance.
