NIT Raipur launches National Training Programme on applied Mathematics and Quantum Cryptography

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur has inaugurated a five-day national-level Short-Term Training Programme focused on emerging areas of applied mathematics, computational modelling and quantum cryptography. The programme, titled “Frontiers in Applied Mathematics: Modelling, Nonlinear Dynamics, Chaos, Fractal Geometry, and Quantum Cryptography (FMNCFQ-2026)”, is being conducted from September 7 to September 11, 2026.

Organised by the Department of Mathematics in collaboration with the institute’s Continuing Education Cell, the programme brings together researchers and faculty members from different parts of India, along with an international participant from Ethiopia. The initiative aims to encourage interdisciplinary learning and strengthen the practical application of mathematical concepts.

During the inaugural session, Prof. Samir Bajpai, Director (In-Charge), NIT Raipur, highlighted the importance of connecting theoretical mathematics with computational tools and real-world applications. Participants are being encouraged to explore opportunities for collaborative research, publications and sponsored projects.
